Private: Workshop with Chris Watson
March 23, 2015
About this project
We are proud to present Christopher Watson in a choral workshop on 23rd March 2015.
Chris sings with some of the world’s leading early music ensembles, notably The Tallis Scholars, with whom he has made more than 200 appearances, Alamire, Gallicantus and Collegium Vocale Gent. He also performs with Theatre of Voices, with whom he is appearing at the HK Arts Festival in March in an all-Arvo Pärt programme.
In the workshop Chris will work with singers on two repertoires that he is most familiar with: Renaissance polyphony and contemporary music. Singers will rehearse music by Spanish renaissance composer Tomás Luis de Victoria, and Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, who celebrates his 80th birthday in 2015.
Choral singers interested in renaissance polyphony or contemporary music are welcome to either join the workshop as a singing participant, or observe the workshop for free. To apply please email firstname.lastname@example.org
